“i don’t understand the life humans have created from nothing. this so called “american dream”. we could have gone anywhere and done anything. instead, we set up this standardized, superficial, separated, watered-down excuse of a culture. the more i look at it, the more it looks just like a sick joke or some sort of experiment. i feel like we’re stuck in a petri dish and whoever’s looking down on us is either laughing or crying. i was born and forced into this life kicking and screaming. my first two years i was taught how to walk and talk. for the rest of my life they taught me how to sit down and shut up. school convinced me that i was stupid. they never taught me how to think, only what to think. and somehow the grades they gave me would determine my future? i could never make sense of all the questions collecting in my head. and then had to pretend like i gave a shit about anything they told me was true, when there never seemed to be any real answers. things just are the way they are and i’m supposed to accept that? why do i have to pass this class? because if you don’t, you wont get into college, and without a degree you wont make any money, and without money you cant buy things that you don’t need and spend the majority of your life paying those things off becoming a slave to your own debt, the dollar, and a system that’s rigged. and since you never bothered to question why, now that you’ve wasted all those years weaving a rope to place around your neck, it’s finally time to tie the knot. you wouldn’t want to inhibit your personal growth by realizing that people come and go, that each friendship might add a new piece to the puzzle that is you. that it might even take until you’re 60 or 70 to realize what that means. instead, how about you marry the first pair of tits that make your dick tingle just right cause you of all people obviously know what love is, you saw it in a movie once right? it’ll be fun for the first few years, this thing called “family” you’re supposed to create. until you plop out marry and sue only to realize that you’re stuck. stuck in an overpopulated world and an economy based on scarcity and profit. only to raise another generation of consumer drones, believing everything they hear from the media, advertisement, and school. believing that the government has their back when the success of our healthcare system is based on profit, so the sicker we are the more money someone is making off of us? where the quality of goods is decreased just to keep us coming back for more? where technology pollutes and wastes, withholding our human right to anything deemed sustainable? the drugs they give us don’t work, the food they feed us is poison, and the same fluoride they put in our water was used by hitler in concentration camps to lower iq and recycle hazardous waste through us into the environment. a government promoting competition that only leads to separation and you still think that race is an issue? if racism wasn’t taught in schools i don’t think any of us would even know what it was. they teach slavery as an exaggerated example so you don’t realize how enslaved you are today. the only freedoms we have are paper and plastic, coke or pepsi. they don’t want critical thinking individuals who see things for what they are. that every man, woman, and child is the same in that we are all human. we create our own reality. they’ve conditioned us to focus only on the surface, drowning us in culture, placing labels on everyone and everything. keeping us distracted amongst ourselves while they make all the rules. they’ve turned life into some sort of assembly line, producing “you” as the makeshift carbon copied product. and somehow, they still have some people so brainwashed that we actually sacrifice our own sons and daughters to fight their wars. wars that we have absolutely no say in or even know the real meaning behind for that matter. wars that turn regular citizens into murderers and globalize this faulty system. not to mention the number of innocent lives lost over nothing but greed, power, and wealth… wake the fuck up! life isn’t a formula. it can’t be judged in materials or failed due to insufficient funds. that career you’re “supposed” to have doesn’t define you. life comes naturally as it should. life will deliver happiness, well-being, and stability. that little piece of paper marked “in god we trust,” won’t. don’t compare yourself to a culture so narrow and manipulative. avoid culture and create your own. discover what kind of outlet you need to express what it is that makes you one of a kind. take a look at the bigger picture and YOU tell me what’s important…” —Danny Schwerin (via misty-mountain-moss)

unvivid:

it’s weird how body parts are considered sacred and secret when you can just take someone’s clothes off and see them, whereas someone’s personality or sense of humour or opinions and mind are all literally invisible, like there’s no way to see what someone’s mind is like without their consent. why don’t we glorify minds more than bodies, aren’t they more sacred and special?
